Analysis

Given the title, here is my experience with the 'other' device (I mean user defined IR controlled devices which cannot be categorized in your device types).
Firstly I named buttons of the 'other' device in English, but it does not work at all. So I looked at the document carefully and I found that the button name is in Japanese in the example of the 'other' device. Then, I changed the button names to Japanese, eventually it works.
I do not understand why the button names should be in Japanese (or maybe some other languages except English).

Expected Behavior

The 'other' devices can be controlled via the API by the buttons named in any language.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. create an 'other' device in a hub and buttons named in English
  2. send a command to the device with the English named button
  3. and you will see...
