[Feature Request]: Script for installing PassWall2 on OpenWrt 25.12.2

Hey there,

I wanted to suggest adding a script that would make it easier to install PassWall2 on OpenWrt 25.12.2. Right now, the installation process can be a bit tricky and requires a lot of manual steps. Having a script that handles the installation automatically would save a lot of time and make it much simpler for everyone.

No🥲 I've freshly installed openwrt 25.12 only

Do I understand it right that Passwall2 won't work on openwrt 25.12 out of the box? 🫪

@playtheman There is SAME issue on ALL OpenWRT versions. Switch from dnsmasq to dnsmasq-full without full reinstall is REALLY HARD. Such quirk exists on ALL OpenWRT, it is not Passwall2-specific at all.

But what version of openwrt should I reinstall than?

Before upgrade, please make the backup and keep all "custom" scripts in backup settings, so it will not be removed.

First you can reinstall the same version, but remove the dnsmasq and add dnsmasq-full package with keep all another packages and settings via attendedsysupgrade.

Then you can install Passwall2.

After setup, you can download all settings, and try to upgrade via attendedsysupgrade

You can use my scripts to update GeoIP and Geosite.

I use something similar on my OpenWRT router.
