Issue description:
Using Pixelorama to alter some pretty low-res background textures. First attempted to generate a palette from the sprite, which is a full-screen background so is relatively large. I wouldn't expect it has more than 100 distinct colors, though. Not super familiar with the tool, so I did leave "alpha colors" checked as it's default.
CPU temp shoots up to 90 degrees, basically stays there, app freezes. Temps drop a little bit, but after a minute or so it's clear something is wrong so I killed the process. Figured maybe a 1920x1080 background is just too much for whatever the processing algorithm is, so I tried again with a ~100x100 selection, can't be more than 20 colors or so. Same result, slightly lower core temps but it freezes and computes indefinitely.

Steps to reproduce:
Generate palette from sprite/selection.
