Is it possible to add DisplayOptions through templates on admin dashboard?

Hi,

I want do do a quick fix for a client without doing a new setup. I need a new DisplayMode for this fix so I tried to create a new shape in admin dashboard > Templates.

When I go to the FieldDefinition the option is not showed in the dropdown list.

The format I used was

[FieldType]_DisplayOption__[DisplayMode]

Did I do something wrong or is this not even possible?
