I’m really excited to join the effort and support the UX revamp of the platform!

To help get things rolling and better understand the vision, goals, and context, I’ve put together some initial questions in a Google Doc. The idea is to open up the conversation and surface any current pain points, needs, or opportunities from various perspectives, whether you’re a user, contributor, or maintainer.

Feel free to share your thoughts, links, bullet points, or just drop a quick comment, whatever format is easiest for you. I initially considered splitting the questions, some directed to @Piedone for broader context, and others for the community, but figured it’s more practical to start the conversation in one place and adjust as needed. I’ll keep adding questions as things come up.

Folk, just throwing an idea -- why not use portal.azure.com as a template for the next generation admin ui? I just spent a ton of time there this week and I thought maybe it would be a nice guide for us as we redesign the admin ui.

I wanted to follow up on last Tuesday’s meeting, as I wasn’t able to join. I’m new to the community and would love to get a better sense of how meetings typically go and how everyone likes to collaborate.

I’m currently preparing for the kickoff and am curious to hear everyone's thoughts are around the kickoff, especially in terms of the agenda, format, or areas of focus. Is there anything specific the community would like to prioritize, or any formats that have worked well in the past?

Here are a few things I’ve been considering:

• Aligning on goals, scope, timeline, and deliverables (including what’s in/out of scope and how we define “complete”)
• Platform access (if any)
• Communication preferences
• Collaboration style

Would love to hear everyone’s ideas, even a quick note on what’s most important to you or anything you’re hoping to learn would be really helpful.

Just to clarify, did you mean keeping everything in one main thread, or would it make sense to break things down by topic? or? I’m wondering if maybe we could do a bit of both, have one main issue for general updates, and start separate ones as needed for specific areas. Just an early thought, I’ll think on it a bit more.

For timing, how about Tuesday at 2:30 PM PST, or Thursday at 8 or 9 AM PST? Let me know if either time works for you!

I'd create such discussions for bigger matters, like, for example, evaluating survey results. But then create new discussions for other such matters.

I’ve started laying out some of the survey questions, and I’m also considering adding a few community-related questions under the discussion section, but I’m still feeling out how many is too many. I imagine some of these could also be included directly in the survey for better reach and structure.
