Observing Orchard Core: Metrics and Logs with Grafana and Amazon CloudWatch

Dear all,

Continuing from our last journey on running Orchard Core on Amazon ECS using a CloudFormation template, I'd like to share the next step I have been working on: Adding observability through Amazon CloudWatch and Grafana, which is motivated by this issue.

I have blogged about it in this post Observing Orchard Core: Metrics and Logs with Grafana and Amazon CloudWatch. Same as last time, I have prepare the CloudFormation template for the setup on Orchard Core Basics Companion (OCBC) GitHub project:

• Core Network Infra: CoreNetwork.yml;
• Grafana on EC2: Observability.yml;
• Orchard Core hosting on ECS: App.yml.

Next, I will be continuing on integrating the Tempo with OpenTelemetry and AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT).

Finally, I will do a sharing about this entire observability of Orchard Core in GrafanaCON Local Singapore in the end of May. Please drop by if you are in Singapore on that day. =D
