How do I attach version number to the url of the image retrieved from the Azure CDN

Hello,
I enjoy using Orchard Core. It is a great product! It is being hosted in Azure. I set up a CDN for images. The issue is that when the image with the same name gets updated, it still shows the old image because it is cached in CDN for 7 days.

1. How can I attach the version of the image to the query string of the image's url.

2. How can I purge the CDN on update?

assuming this is for the media module, you can use append_version https://github.com/OrchardCMS/OrchardCore/blob/ff1a7a42ebbc26396f28ec897444ff73986ba8b7/src/docs/reference/modules/Media/README.md#append_version

Thank you for the quick response. I am still learning about the functionalities of Orchard Core. Yes, it is a media module. I will definitely use append_version.

Is it possible to purge the CDN when the image with the same name is updated?

I don't think this feature is available out of the box, might need a custom implementation
