There was some issues regarding Spotify's lyric services as suggested in the thread from 8. May 25; The author is trying to fix the issue at the moment, just be patient. Certain songs, might not have netease lyrics, or have incorrect lyrics, thus it might display the lyrics as « lyrics by:... » in Chinese. Just be patient and OvalQuilter will work something out.

It chooses the first song that came from the search. As far as I know, lyrics on NetEase are being uploaded by its users, so Chinese characters and incorrect lyrics are pretty much common.

Hi Oval, Hope you’re doing great 🙂. Would it be possible to request a toggle switch to choose between Spotify Lyrics and NetEase on the panel? Would be a huge feature to have if its not too bothersome 😄.

Also on the topic of Netease, did ever figure out why netease isnt getting lyrics from songs that have lyrics on netease? @OvalQuilter

The only one possible explanation for me is that format "Song Name-Author" isn't enough to get correct results.

Update: Yeah, it seems this is the case. Though it's weird, the song you mentioned is exactly written in this format on NetEase; I just checked. I tried writing it on their website and didn't get results except a few wrong songs.

Now its weird, netease used to display the right lyrics, but now they are completely different

@Huluaccount2 The mismatched lyrics sometimes happens, if you skip a song before it gets cached so sometimes lyrics from one song can get cached into another one and it keeps using that cache. One way I found a fix is to delete the cache folder that the app creates and that should fix the mismatched lyrics. I hope it helps :3

Im using lrclib, Works really well, I did give the code to oval so im just waiting to see when he tests it and if hes gonna add it to the next release.
