单纯好奇启动器更新为什么要走走社区服务器

如题。我觉得github的release应该可以作为更新下载源吧，为什么还要社区服务器？是因为需要有服务器作为版本列表源还是因为国内没法访问github？我认为如果只是因为github国内没法访问是不是可以增加个修改启动器更新源的选项以分流有能访问github的用户🤔
