How to use PPOCRLabel annotator on MacBook M2

I am trying to fine tune the table detection and layout parser models on my own data. For annotating I tried setting up PPOCRLabel tool. I am not able to clearly understand the table annotation steps in here. Particularly, I am not able to understand the point 3 in the above link. What does "Mark the table structure: for each cell contains the text, mark as any identifier (such as 1) in Excel, to ensure that the merged cell structure is same as the original picture" mean? Can anyone give a concrete example for this?
