directml still supported?

I'm stuck with a low end low vram rx470, but when installing forge it doesn't install directml.
I tried the old forge months back before the change in dev focus and it worked for me. but the render times were insanly high. 1h+

I assumed it was my system as it was old, but I had to replace parts that died and I wanted to try again.
