Default logger not properly reporting severity above info

The default logger appears to be presently unable to report messages to `stdout` above log level info. As such, a few error cases have been wrongfully assigned to info. This needs to be addressed as well as the error cases (such as the vulkan error reporting callback) need to be set to their proper severity levels again.
