Description
Expected behavior
When a lead is attached between a Ghast and a grounded mob (such as a Cow), the Ghast’s flight AI should exert sufficient vertical force to lift the mob off the ground. The transition from "grounded" to "airborne" should be automatic, allowing for seamless mob transport without player intervention.
Observed/Actual behavior
The Ghast is unable to overcome the "static friction" or "gravity weight" of a mob that is already touching the ground.
Static Failure: If connected while the mob is on the ground, the Ghast hovers or moves horizontally, but the mob remains anchored to the floor. The lead often stays taut or eventually snaps.
The "Airborne" Workaround: Mob transport only functions if the player manually lifts the mob into the air first (using their own lead/flight). Once the mob is in a "falling" or "airborne" state, the Ghast can then successfully take over the tension and maintain the flight.
Steps/models to reproduce
- Placement: Spawn a Happy Ghast and place a target mob (e.g., a Cow) on level ground.
- Initial Connection: Attempt to connect the mob to the Ghast using the standard lead/harness transport method.
- Observation A: Notice that the Ghast moves, but the Cow remains stuck on the ground, failing to be lifted or influenced by the ghast.
- The Manual Lift: Detach the lead from the Ghast and attach it to yourself. Fly upward until the Cow is suspended in the air.
- The Hand-off: While the Cow is still airborne, re-attach the lead from yourself to the Ghast.
- Observation B: Notice that once the "grounded" state is broken, the Ghast has no trouble maintaining the transport and flying with the mob.
