Description
At the moment most (compression) archive file mimetypes link to ark.svg
Examples:
.../mimetypes/application-x-bzip-compressed-tar.svg
.../mimetypes/application-x-7z-compressed.svg
.../mimetypes/application-x-compressed-tar.svg
All link to: ../apps/ark.svg
Except for some exceptions like: .../mimetypes/application-x-bzip.svg
which links to .../mimetypes/application-x-compress.svg which is a very similar icon to ark.svg but not the same.
The first suggestion would be to clean this up and make it more consistent and maybe not use an app symbol for all app mimetypes, to me it makes more sense that the ark icon get's turned into the generic mimetype symbol for archives and then ark links to it.
The second suggestion is adding color variants of that archive symbol, just like the folder icons. I think by default it should all be the same but power users can go in and do some symbolic links to change what mimetype archive get's what color, maybe we can provide a script like the folder switcher one.
