Ajatuskumppani Brand Guidelines

This document outlines the brand guidelines for the Ajatuskumppani project. Please follow these guidelines when creating content, presentations, or materials related to the project.

Logo Usage

Available Logos

We provide three official logo variants:

  1. Main Logo (ajatuskumppani-logo-main.png)

    • Full logo with text
    • Use for: Official documents, presentations, websites
    • Dimensions: 1024x1024px

  2. Banner (ajatuskumppani-banner.png)

    • Wide format with network visualization
    • Use for: Headers, social media covers, GitHub profile
    • Dimensions: 1920x1080px

  3. Icon (ajatuskumppani-icon.png)

    • Simplified triangle icon
    • Use for: App icons, favicons, small spaces
    • Dimensions: 512x512px

Logo Location

All logos are available in the assets/logos/ directory:

  • assets/logos/ajatuskumppani-logo-main.png
  • assets/logos/ajatuskumppani-banner.png
  • assets/logos/ajatuskumppani-icon.png

Usage Rules

DO:

  • ✅ Use the official logos provided in the assets folder
  • ✅ Maintain proper spacing around the logo (minimum 20px padding)
  • ✅ Use on white or light backgrounds for best visibility
  • ✅ Scale proportionally (maintain aspect ratio)
  • ✅ Use PNG format for transparency

DON'T:

  • ❌ Modify the logo colors or design
  • ❌ Stretch or distort the logo
  • ❌ Add effects (shadows, gradients, etc.)
  • ❌ Place on busy or low-contrast backgrounds
  • ❌ Rotate the logo

Voice and Tone

Brand Voice

Ajatuskumppani's voice is:

  • Approachable: Friendly and welcoming, not intimidating
  • Intelligent: Knowledgeable and technically sound
  • Finnish: Proud of Finnish heritage, but globally minded
  • Open: Transparent and honest about capabilities and limitations

Writing Style

DO:

  • ✅ Use clear, concise language
  • ✅ Explain technical concepts simply
  • ✅ Be honest about limitations
  • ✅ Use inclusive language
  • ✅ Write in both Finnish and English when appropriate

DON'T:

  • ❌ Use jargon without explanation
  • ❌ Make exaggerated claims
  • ❌ Use overly formal or corporate language
  • ❌ Exclude non-technical audiences

Primary Tagline (Finnish)

"Suomalainen avoin tekoäly, joka oppii tuntemaan sinut."

Primary Tagline (English)

"Finnish open-source AI that learns from you."

Secondary Taglines

Profile Images

  • Use the icon (ajatuskumppani-icon.png) for profile pictures
  • Use the banner for cover images

Presentations

Slide Templates

When creating presentations:

  1. Use the main logo in the top-left corner
  2. Use Slate Blue (#6B8FA3) as the primary color
  3. Use Inter font family
  4. Include the tagline on the title slide
  5. End with "Built in Finland. Open to the world." 🇫🇮

Merchandise

If creating merchandise (t-shirts, stickers, etc.):

  • Use the icon for small items (stickers, pins)
  • Use the main logo for larger items (t-shirts, posters)
  • Stick to the official color palette
  • Include the tagline when space permits

Use this signature at the end of documents, emails, and communications:
