How to inject something to dom from other component ?

For example i have CSUI with custom render which renders a custom root container and i inject a component into this custom root container and i have handleClick function inside that component that needs to also inject something how can inject this function something ? Do i need to follow react way with state and context to inform the render function that you need render something ? Or i need to follow plasmo way with storage or messaging to inform render ? I don't know is there way to inject something directly from that function ?
