A few question on options

In the Spectrum++ screen what are the frequencies covered in each band? When I can hear nothing the screen still pops some entries in the upper bands. Knowing the frequencies may help me find the sound source.

In the Stocks screen what are the acceptable sources for stock info besides davepl.dyndns.org:8888
It does not display ZNOG or BRK.A for example.

The sampling frequency set in soundanalyzer.h is 20,000, meaning the maximum frequency measured is 10KHz. The Spectrum++ effect on Mesmerizer uses the NUM_BANDS number of bands, which is defined to be at 16 for that project. The cut-off frequencies (i.e. highest frequencies captured) per band for that number of bands are 200, 380, 580, 780, 980, 1200, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2412, 3162, 3781, 5312, 6310, 8400 and 10000. (You can refer to the SoundAnalyzer::CalculateBandCutoffs() function in soundanalyzer.h for more information on the calculation of cut-off frequencies for other NUM_BANDS values.)

What you may be experiencing is that the effect is visualizing jitter that's coming from the microphone and/or audio capturing circuitry. That's not entirely uncommon for hardware of this nature in higher frequency ranges.

Concerning the stock info, that effect speaks a specific HTTP "protocol" when retrieving stock info that is only implemented by the (caching proxy) service at davepl.dyndns.org:8888 at this time, as far as I know.
