IR receiver and pattern

The LED panel has a pimple right where the IR receiver plugs in. Almost impossible to plug it in without bending stuff. So, I unplugged the unit and clipped the pimple, ala Dr. Pimple Popper. Plugged in IR and powered up. Now I can’t keep the display on Spectrum++. How do you keep the display on one pattern?

I should add that to the instructions, thanks! If you press ON on the remote, it should lock it on the current effect. - Dave
