How to add external power supply

Hi! I have this since some time now and I can't be happier! I really love it.
Initially I had not the access to a plug near the ESPBell-Max, but that has changed. That made me wonder if there is a possible way to add an external power supply to the board and made it always available from Homeassistant, something like the lite option.

I'm capable of soldering and tinker with it, in fact I nearly kill the board when it first arrived because I shortcircuited by accident, then I had to replace a path with an external wire!
Well, I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you all!

Hi, It can be done, but it will be a mess! And I don't think it's a good idea,
for modification you need to remove the D3 and D2 diodes, then connect the trace from the doorbell sensn "OPT" to the free pin on ESP like to "LATCH" pin, basically from D3 pad to D2 then connect EXT-Trig to the battery terminal, then you can use ESPHOME for firmware use ESPBell-Lite example and change pins in configuration, battery terminals can accept 5v.

I see why you say it is not such a good idea, I have plenty of occasions to mess something up. I definitely will consider this conversion, but I really don't want to brake it now that everyone at home is so used to it.
If I go crazy I'll post the results!
