`Time` and `Frame` node – how to see their effect?

It seems that QuiltiX has support for the "Time" and "Frame" Application Nodes (see ).
However, it's not clear to me how to actually see them have any effect in the UI – is there a way to set a time, advance the time, ...?

I would expect this to cycle the color from black to white and then from the start again:

Unfortunately we don't really have anything to support the forth dimension just yet. It wouldn't need a lot and could be a good first issue to tackle.
If anyone ever stumbles upon this issue and would like to learn a bit about Python/Qt/USD and would like to tackle this, here are the things that I imagine would need to be done:

• A timeline Qt widget including start & endframe, playbar with draggable slider, play/pause/end/start buttons
• Some event on the widget that sends the current time in the StageView

The Time and Frame MaterialX nodes aren't supported in Usdmlx yet.
Support for that need to be added in the USD repo before it can be supported in QuiltiX:
