View Changes window won't show me any changes

I'm trying to sort out this issue where Unreal Engine's view changes window won't show my changes. Everything else (Checking out, reverting including lock/unlock) works completely fine. The checked out/saved files show up fine on my github client. I've tried a bunch of stuff including re-installing the plugin but nothing seems to help.

If anyone has experienced this or has any suggetions, if you could help me point in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Thank you :)
Edit: I'm running UE 5.6.0 and building engine from source. I've also tried moving the plugin to Engine but to no avail.
