Shiki

Shiki is a newer syntax highlighter (used in VitePress, Astro).

• It seems like it could / would work with rephype - https://shiki.style/packages/rehype
• and has a nord theme - https://github.com/shikijs/textmate-grammars-themes/tree/main/packages/tm-themes#dark-themes

Fork

There is a fork being maintained, so that could always be a fallback
