Stackblitz Alternative

Overview

As NodeJS moves forward, and Greenwood with it, Stackblitz, which we feature in our Getting Started, guide is not. Currently, Stackblitz only supports Node 20 and that was only as of April 2025, with no word on Node 22 support to speak of. And in particular 22.18.0 which is just about to be the minimum version needed for Greenwood.

I think when you look at the current NodeJS Release Schedule, it really makes it clear how far Stackblitz is lagging

So as decided by the team in the context of #233 , we made the decision to hide the Stackblitz section entirely for now and hence opening this Discussion to find alternatives.

If they add support for Node 22.18.0, I am happy to add the section back!

also, their <iframe> embed has an annoying bug where it hijacks the page scrolling :/

Alternatives

So what else would be a good alternative? What else out there runs NodeJS that we could embed, even if not specifically using Web Containers.
