Is there any way to skip the macos proxy and only install it on mobile device like android and ios simulators?

Similar to how charles work, we can skip installing the macos proxy and still get the logs from the simulator is it possible on proxyman?

If you skip installing the certificate on macOS, it's impossible to decrypt the HTTPS from your iOS Simulators.

The only solution is using Atlantis for your iOS app on iPhone or Simulators. By using Atlantis, you don't need to install the cert on your iPhone or Mac too.

It is possible @NghiaTranUIT with the SSL proxying on charles even if you disable the macos proxy, if i try to do the same on proxyman by pasing the * wildcard in the proxying list and check it still asks me to install the root certificate first

although I should mention this only works for the android emulators/simulators, if you manually add the Proxy settings to your android emu wifi it starts working without installing any root level certificate

CAn you show me step to step to do it on Charles? If you don't install the Root Charles Certificate on your Mac, how Charles can decrypts HTTPS data from iOS Simulators?

sure @NghiaTranUIT as i mentioned this works for android emulators IOS i did not check, here are the steps

1. Open Charles, go to Help -> SSL Proxying
2. Save Charles root certificate
3. Drag and Drop the certificate in your android emu
4. Go to settings on emu and search for CA certificate tap on install anyway
5. Select the saved Charles root certificate and install it
6. Now go back to Charles Help -> SSL Proxying -> Install Charles root certificate on a mobile device
7. It will open up a popup with some IP and port , copy them
8. Go to the Wifi settings on your android emu and open the edit options
9. Select manual proxy and enter the ip and port and save them
10. Disconnect and connect the wifi again it will trigger a popup on charles to allow the connection
11. you can now see your logs in the charles

I'm still not sure how Charles Proxy can decrypt HTTPS data from your Android Emulator if you don't install Charles Root Certificate to you Mac ?

Maybe it's already installed, but you forgot it.

Because it's how Man-in-the-middle works. The certificate has to be installed in both Mac and Emulators; it's crucial to decrypt HTTPS data.

Otherwise, you get SSL Error

nope it is not installed, checked in the keychain there is no certificate installed and even the macos proxy is off in the Charles -> Proxy -> macosProxy (off) try the steps once or maybe we can connect over discord/some call where I can show this further
