Would it be possible to add a Snow Leopard ISO to the list. I need it for an older Macbook.

Try this file (rename it to .torrent). I will seed it for a ratio of 2 to 3 but not past that to keep my bandwidth bill from costing too much.

Please seed it to others after you get a full copy. If you know how, please add more public trackers too.

I also have the Leopard ISO, both rips from the actual DVDs from when I used to do tech support for Macs at work. I plan on uploading Leopard right after the Snow Leopard torrent is seeded enough by others. (Limited disk space, can only seed about 10GB at a time.)

Try it again now (you might have to remove and re-add the torrent). I rebooted my server and also opened a port I forgot to open for incoming traffic (tcp/51413)

I see that you are downloading it now. To think: all these years, I'd been "passively seeding" but I had not opened the port tcp/51413 to "actively seed."

Yeah, same here. I pay per GB for bandwidth and storage on this server (not much in terms of $ but it adds up if I just let it sit there forever).

Even if you seed now and then in the future you'll help somebody out.

I don't get the technical details myself, haha. At most, all I understand is that active seeding requires that I accept incoming connections from anywhere and passive involves my bittorrent client only using outbound connections to other peers.

BTW, let me know if you have trouble with the ISO. I forgot to mention, you have to use the "date trick" to get any really old versions of the MacOS X installer to run. Basically, during the installation process, it will produce an error because it will check the SSL certificate to verify the installer, and the date is so old the certificate has expired. So, what you have to do is use the Terminal to set the date of the machine to some date where the certificate would still be valid. I'll put a link here when I find the tutorial.

I also have a physical DVD for a non-retail copy of Snow Leopard if you have trouble with this one, but it should work. One person said they had to reinstall Leopard first, then upgrade to Snow Leopard:

I don't remember if I had to do that too, but I definitely keep the Leopard and Snow Leopard ISOs together just in case. Like I said, I plan on uploading the Leopard ISO next.

I had one of those!

Anyway, it depends on whether the hardware clock inside the Macbook somehow syncs itself to today's time OR if by some miracle, it had the correct time long ago and still has the correct time now (somehow the battery lasted that long).

But at least you know the trick if you run into it. It gives a generic error--something about not being able to install this software. There is no clue or mention that the date or expired SSL certificates are involved.

Some quick googling of the exact error message, and you will find tons of tutorials/instructions on how to get around it. I'm pretty sure there are YouTube videos on it too.
