It would be nice to be able to symbolically represent "apply CNOT on qubits 1 and 3 of some multy-qubit state"

I'd just like to bump this issue, for me it would make the difference between having a useful package (even if it is just as a convenient interface to QuantumOptics.jl and QuantumClifford.jl) and something that is just kinda cute.

Then submit a PR? We can happily provide assistance and review it, but in the near term, if you need a package feature then it's up to you to implement it.
