Loading Opus files in Orange + spectroscopy add-on

Users of Orange reported that they were not able to read Opus files in Orange with the Spectroscopy add-on.
They had to uninstall orange and Load Quasar and managed to read their data.
The data were spectral maps with embedded visible images.

Hi Christophe,
In the case of Orange + orange-spectroscopy, you need to manually add the opusFC package. This can be done by either:

1. Go to Options / Add-ons ... window, select "Add more..." button and enter opusFC. The "opus FC" package should appear in the list. Press "Okay" to install it
2. Open the Orange installation ("Orange Command Prompt" on Windows) and type pip install opusFC

Hello! Curious, is there a reason these sort of packages aren't automatically installed with orange-spectroscopy? (sorry if this is a naive question)

Hello! It's a good question. The answer is buried on https://quasar.codes/download/ but essentially the opusFC package is not available for all platforms, so we don't explicitly depend on it. If you install our Quasar distribution, you will get it. I think opusFC is the only one like this.
