Hi,

Just curious: what are the advantages of tsid over uuidv7 which was introduced in duckdb 1.3.0 ?

As far as I understand, both tsid and uuidv7 generate time-sortable id's and both support extracting the timestamp from the id.

Are there any significant differences?
Have you compared the performance of tsid with uuidv7?

@maartenbosteels a benchmark is indeed in order - this extension was created before uuidv7 was introduced in DuckDB
