Companion App Does not show output on Mac

Trying to use the Companion App on MacOS does not show any output when calling the ShowInCompanion method. That method hangs, does not return to the code and nothing is produces in the Companion window.

This is using the default "Getting Started" code on your website.

Given there's been no changes to this project in 8 months, I'm guessing these issues won't be addressed?
