iOS Simulator Crash

I'm testing on an iPhone 16 Pro iOS 18.2 simulator. Any time I try to request permissions, the app crashes, and the only log is Lost connection to device. Any advice on how to troubleshoot?

I switched to fast_contacts.

There are lots of permissions packages available. I use permission_handler, rather than make the internal call used by this package. Recommended.

That's a good product, but many need to create/edit comments. fast_contacts only reads them. This is still the best, most complete solution.
