Migrate AppServer from Monolith to Microservices #535
Description
The AppServer has recently been migrated from the Spring framework to the Jersey framework (the pull request for this change is currently under review). As part of this ongoing migration, the next step is to transition the AppServer to a microservices architecture. The design for the microservices version is outlined in the following document: Proposal for AppServer Migration to Microservices.
