install error

When installing geoshape I am getting an error at:

The same problem occurred when I attempted to install using vagrant method as well as on the existing machine method.

For vagrant method I am on Ubuntu 14.04 with virtual box 5.1.10 and vagrant 1.9.1.

For existing machine method I used a new install of centos 7 running on virtual box 5.1.10.

side note:

I also tried to install on a osgeo live 9.5 vm which is lubuntu/ubuntu 14.04.

when installing on this lubuntu machine I attempted to follow the older install method.

I ran into an an error with a gem needing a newer version of ruby than what was being called out by the "install-geoshape.sh" script, which was using calling for ruby 2.0.0 to be used. I can't remember the gem but I remember it was asking for >= 2.1x , so I installed 2.3.3 and changed the script to call out for the newer version. this solved the ruby gem issue, but then I ran into a problem with the chef cookbook ver. it was requesting 12.0v minimum and my machine was running 11.0v. I gave up there :)

I have played around with the geonode / geoserver combo on osgeo live. Its really a powerful solution. I was so stoked when I found geoSHAPE, with the Arbiter app, maploom, geogig :0 this is really an amazing solution. I hope to have it up and running soon! :)

Hello,
I made some progress on this but now find my self stuck again. please see below.

"Existing machine method" was used.

VM OS: CentOS 6.4

Host OS: Unbuntu 14.04

VirtualBox Version: 5.1.10

On a fresh install of centos 6.4 running as a vm, i did the following:

wget https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-6.noarch.rpm

rpm -Uvh epel-release*rpm

yum install netcdf

*this cleared all the errors except the postgres error so I did:

yum install https://yum.postgresql.org/9.6/redhat/rhel-7-x86_64/pgdg-centos96-9.6-3.noarch.rpm

Then I downloaded the repo from boundless and began the install per the instructions.

The install completed without error. yew!

I then ran

geoshape-config init <my.ip.address>

I get an error here:

PROBLEM =

As you can see something happened with Geoserver.

In the readout from the initial install there is no sign of errors, and it states geoserver was successfully installed.

geoserver is not accessible at: <my.ip.address>/geoserver

I tried accessing geoshape through the admin drop down in geoshape and adding a layer just to be sure :)

So I am stuck here now. I tried looking around a bit in the configuration files mentioned in the instructions, but I did not fine anything that stood as being wrong.

I'm sure this is any easy one for someone out there :) please enlighten me

Hi, I had the same message error. I could solve this by adding repos and installing some components:
