Hi, this extension does not work for me. When starting a PIP video, it just doesn't stay on top. Manually enabling the option in GNOME's right-click menu still works, but it is not checked by default.
I'm on Ubuntu 24.04 (Slimbook OS) so Gnome 46, with Firefox 138. I tried to install both from the extension manager and manually by cloning the repo, but it's the same in both cases.
I do have chrome-gnome-shell installed as well as the GNOME shell integration FF extension.
I have firefox installed as deb from the PPA, not as a snap. Could that be the cause ?

In which language you are running Firefox?
What is the title of PiP window (you can see in overview)?
When you cloned the repo did you followed all installation steps from readme, including generating translations?

Oh sorry I didn't realize the translations were needed for the extension to work. That's where the issue is : when running the translation script, it fails with : ./translate.sh: 48: Syntax error: redirection unexpected. I'm using Firefox in French.

maybe check if replacing #!/bin/sh with #!/bin/bash in that script helps?

With this the translation script does complete and the .mo file contains the right string, but it still doesn't work. I've rebooted before testing of course.

So I actually got to "fix" this by setting Firefox to English instead of French.
My system is in English so I'm guessing that the extension gets the locale from the OS instead of from Firefox. Do you think this could be changed so we could have FF in another language than the system setting ?
