MCP tool call, and status notification for long running tools

I'm calling MCP that returns status notification like this:

But "progressToken" is null, and was never requested/sent in the tool call.
Does anyone know maybe where to look for this, or what might be the problem? As far as I can see in the call arguments, this parameter is null.
I would appreciate some feedback on this, tnx
