Voice client FFMpeg player is silent

Just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas about this. Im trying to play a local file in a voice channel. The bot enters, is silent and leaves.

 vc = ctx.author.voice.channel
    if ctx.author.voice is None or vc is None:
        return

    player = await vc.connect()

    player.play(discord.FFmpegPCMAudio("./Recording.mp3"), after=lambda e: print(f'Finished playing: {e}'))
    player.source = discord.PCMVolumeTransformer(player.source, volume=1.0)
    while player.is_playing():
        await asyncio.sleep(.1)
    await player.disconnect()

And I get this in my cmd

Finished playing: None

My assumption is that player.play seems to not be working properly seeing how the audio file is about 3 minutes long and the bot leaves in about 2 seconds. I've also included the PVMVolumeTransformer because I was trying to see if it may just be silently playing.
