ubuntu download issues

Hey discord.py community,

ive been trying for the past 3 days to download the library and ive had issue after issue. someone in the discord server sorta helped me but he couldnt help any further with the issues im having now. i havent found anyone that can.
i run the command in the docs: (python3 -m pip install -U discord.py) and it installs for a minute and these error messages come up
im on deb10 i belive so if anyone has any info please let me know.

This error means you don't have Pyhthon build headers installed.

You'll need to issue commands like

sudo apt update
sudo apt install python3-dev

yup mine says 'bot-env': venv

just clicked it and this is brought up could this mean something?

This means you've installed discord.py at your system python level, not in the venv itself.
Can you open a terminal within VSC? Doing it with an active environment also opens a shell within that venv

From there you can perform the install commmand again and it should work

ok so open vscode terminal and run python3 -m pip install -U discord.py?

ok i solved it. just needed a different folder. bot-env could have caused a corruption or something. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!!!
