Feasibility of Using RaspAP Hotspot for Headless WiFi Configuration on Raspberry Pi

Hi, I'm exploring a use case where a headless Raspberry Pi (no monitor/keyboard) could leverage RaspAP's hotspot to allow users to connect and configure its WiFi settings. The goal is to enable the Pi to join a new WiFi network autonomously after receiving credentials through the hotspot interface. Thanks in advance for any answer!

Any authenticated user can configure a WiFi client connection via the UI. RaspAP also has a limited user mode (check the docs) that is only able to perform this action.

Yes, this is a popular use case, although it's unclear what you mean by "automatically". See WiFi repeater in the docs.

Is it possible to first set up an access point as 'wifi_raspap' without inserting an additional USB adapter, and then turn off the access point and switch to WiFi when connected to 'wifi_original'?

Typically two adapters are used for this. You can experiment with AP-STA mode, but this is completely unsupported.
