how to make an LTE stick work?

Hi,
RaspAP is great! It's so much better than OpenWRT. Thank you for that.
I got it up and running now, but I would like to have the LTE stick for uplink.
It seems to be configured correctly, but it does not show up in the dashboard and RaspAP does not find a route to the internet.
any ideas?
it still quickly flashes orange, no idea what that means.
