Supported Platforms

It is recommended to run binwalk in Linux, as this platform has the most support and is generally the easiest to install run-time dependencies for.

Binwalk is also supported on Mac OSX, although users should be aware that some optional run-time dependencies, extraction utilities in particular, may not be supported on this platform.

Windows support is currently experimental.
