Works on my side. Tried commenting on 'LofiGirl' channel which is live 24/7

I have the same problem. After clicking the chat box, it immediately shrinks, making it impossible to chat.

You can speed up step 2 by first patching with only GmsCore support and if the issue is still present then it's a bug in YouTube.
