Release notes missing

Greetings and thank you to all contributors for all your efforts towards this tool that helps so many!

I noticed that the changelogs for 6.6.* are missing from the CHANGELOG on the master branch. For example, while we can see that there are release notes somewhere in the git history by comparing releases, that's more tedious than it needs to be.

So my question/suggestion is twofold:

1. Could the 6.6.* release notes be added to the CHANGELOG?
2. Is there something that needs to be address about the merge process/pattern that is currently preventing these release notes from making it to the master branch (while the 7.* alpha and beta notes are still making it there)?
