Avast just started blocking FanControl’s fancontrol.sys driver as a "vulnerable kernel driver" #3300

I have been using FanControl for weeks with no issues. After a recent Avast update, it now blocks fancontrol.sys, preventing motherboard fan detection even after adding exceptions or setting startup delays. Im not entirely sure if this requires updating the FanControl software, or can be quick fixed. So im not sure either if im suppose to post this into discussions or issues. |

I have a similar report. I've been using fan control for years, and it's been great, vital software, but about an hour ago Windows Defender popped up a notification that said that it had detected "Detected: VulnerableDriver:WinNT/Winring0.G" in file "FanControl.sys". |
