Permanent FileList

Feature Request:

It would be nice to have a "Permanent-File"-List that is the same for ALL projects, because files in the Favorites-List are associated with Projects and will change when switching to a new project.

Suggestion:
Could we have an additional button in the Browserlist - similar to the Favorites-Button - for Permanent Files (and an "add to Permanent-List"-ction off course).

And when you do this, could we have a similar button for the Recent-Files in the Browser-List as well (it is not convinient to close all docs just to see the Recent-Files-list.

It would make sense for consistency-reasons to have all File-Selections (Favourites, Recent-Files, Permanent-Files, Folders) in the Browser-List to toggle seamlessly between them.

Not sure what you mean. Favorites are not associated with projects. They are permanent app wide.

Sorry, for not being clear on this:
I am used (other (PM) tools) that "Favorites are bound to a Project or a Workbench whereas "Permanents" or "Global Pins" are accross projects. I do not care for the names, but I think we should have something that sticks to (is loaded with) specific projects and something else that sticks to the app/user accross ALL projects.

The support for projects/workspaces in MM is almost non-existing so this not really somehting that can be added without a major refactoring of how MM works.

MM's focus is on being an editor, not an IDE.

I am an Editor working on different projects in parallel. Currently I am switching Laptops :-) and for other projects I have switched to other Tools that can handle project related stuff.

I reall do not need full blown IDE support. Just an additional, project related favourites-list. It is just a copy/paste of the current Favourites (which does not need to be changed) and adding a menu entry, right?
