Move docs website off vercel

Can we please move the docs website off vercel to another service that doesn't keep offending people?

I do not want to get the project into politics, but what this guy keeps doing is very provocative.
I do not feel comfortable working on a project hosted there.

I get what you're saying, but if we moved it to another provider, there's a very good chance their CEO/CTO etc will also say or do something dumb politically. We're extremely resource constrained right now, so if we can move and not lose traction – plus keep all the code deployments along with bot protection then it might be worth it. There's also a cost factor too as we're a small open source project that is barely a month old.

There are multiple other services that are comparable or even better for our use case. Examples are Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, Firebase or even GitHub Pages.

I would recommend Cloudflare Pages. I have been using it for years for LiveCodes. In fact, the Ripple playground is running on a preview deployment for this PR. Very stable service, widely distributed CDN, generous free tier (unlimited websites, unlimited requests and bandwidth, 500 builds/month). They also offer the Pro plan for free to open-source projects (which gives 5000 builds/month). I got that with an easy application for my project.
The main limitation was that PRs from forks do not get a preview deploy. I use Cloudflare for production deployments and Netlify for preview deploys from forks. Otherwise, really very happy. It takes 2 minutes to setup.

Anyway, whatever service you choose to use, I can help with any setup, applying for the open-source plan or anything related to CI.

We'd like need more than 5000 builds a month soon but that might work I don't want to use Netlify and Cloudflare together, I'd rather stick with one the simplify things. We also need to be mindful of the need to move to running Ripple on the server and the capabilities they offer us there too. However, this is quite a low pri point at this stage, we have far bigger things to worry about in the short term. Maybe this can be something you can discuss more on Discord with others in terms of planning it out if you want to own it?

My 2 cents as someone who does everything with Cloudflare, Cloudflare Workers Static Assets is the successor to cloudflare pages.

Has github integrations with deploy previews as well. Works well with monorepos.
For previews for forks, it might works out-of-the-box, but if it doesn't, you can use github actions to manually trigger a deploy preview (wrangler versions upload), or the rest API to trigger workers CI.
