Quickly opening and closing different streams leads to deadlock

**Description**
When subscribing and unsubscribing to different streams in quick succession sometimes the node just hangs and never handles any requests or publishes any images. Also no logs are visible.

During the deadlock the cpu usage remains high but no images can be obtained.
