macOS Code Signing & Notarization

Data Peek is now properly signed and notarized for macOS, providing a smoother installation experience:

AI Safety Guardrails

New safety measures prevent accidental execution of destructive SQL queries from the AI chat:

Query Type	Behavior
SELECT	Can be executed directly in chat
INSERT	Can be executed directly in chat
UPDATE	Must be reviewed in a new tab
DELETE	Must be reviewed in a new tab
DROP	Must be reviewed in a new tab
TRUNCATE	Must be reviewed in a new tab

When the AI generates a potentially destructive query:

• The "Run Query" button is hidden
• A "Review in Tab" button with warning styling is shown instead
• Users must explicitly open and execute the query in the editor

This ensures you always review destructive operations before execution.

Bug Fixes

Persistent Encryption Key for Secure Storage

Fixed: App data appearing corrupted on every restart.

The previous implementation generated a new encryption key on each launch, causing stored data to appear corrupted. Now:

• A random encryption key is generated once
• The key is stored securely using Electron's safeStorage API
• The same key is reused across all sessions
• Graceful fallback if safeStorage is unavailable

This fix ensures your connections, license data, and other settings persist correctly.

Duplicate Autocomplete Suggestions

Fixed: SQL editor showing duplicate autocomplete suggestions when multiple tabs are open.

The completion provider now uses a singleton pattern:

• Provider is registered once globally
• Schemas are updated dynamically
• Word-based suggestions disabled (custom provider is comprehensive)
• No more duplicate table/column suggestions

Upgrading from v0.3.0

1. Re-enter connections - Due to the encryption key fix, you may need to re-add your database connections once

• License data is stored unencrypted (not sensitive)
• Encryption key is protected by OS keychain via safeStorage
