I am cobbling something together to prompt\toast users if an application needs to be closed in order to update. It offers users the ability to defer, with a deferral counter (when it reaches 0, it will close the software automatically and update). It creates scheduled tasks and ServiceUI and a bunch of other stuff that Romanitho would like to avoid, but there is one part that is causing me issues. If the user clicks on "Close" the app will get closed, and then the update will continue. That's all great. If the user clicks on "Defer", the app will stay open, it will download the update, attempt to install it, and then fail. For that reason, it would be great if preinstall mods could have functional return\exit codes - For example, if a preinstall mod returns Exit 100, then do not attempt the update for that app.
I'm sure there could be other exit codes and uses as well.
