I ran the windows store (just launched it and closed it), rebooted. Launched a powershell in my user session (not admin), same results I enabled a Powershell transcript to see if anything else popped up I found this in the event log |

This issue is not isolated to a single machine. I have a relatively clean W10 22H2 machine in my lab. I installed WAU and rebooted. The logs show a successful update of an app already installed on the machine as shown below However, when I try to install SonicWALL.NetExtender, WAU reports it can't be found yet WINGET itself can see it fine (I aborted the install at the UAC prompt) Anything else you'd like me to do or report on? |

I don't think so... this is all I found Log Name: Application If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: MSIXDeployment The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table |

I have a clean Win11 machine. I installed WAU, then rebooted. I opened a non-admin powershell and attempted to install an app, but WAU couldn't find it. I did a search for the same app with winget and I find it fine.
I can't figure out what broke... this exact install commandline worked previously a few months ago
I noticed something else weird... when I open an admin elevated prompt, authenticating as a different user with admin privileges, I get a problem where WinGet doesn't install. See below
