Ability to ask Roo Code if there's an ongoing issue with Model API

I've experienced this more in Cline than Roo, but it would be amazing if, after receiving numerous errors in the course of the current task, like:

Error
Unexpected API Response: The language model did not provide any assistant messages. This may indicate an issue with the API or the model's output.

And trying things that don't work, like advising the model to try breaking down the task into smaller steps.

If I could ask Roo in the course of the current task to examine the Model/API connection for issues or errors and, ideally, any troubleshooting steps---or, even better, if it could perform a troubleshooting SOP itself.

This continually happens in Cline where I just get stuck in a loop of errors until I have to quit, and then, frustratingly, starting a new task works. In fact, often I'll start a new task just by asking: "Is there any issue with Anthropic/OpenRouter right now?" and get a thorough answer, like this:

And yet the previous task and all the context there are lost.

Hi @ChiefBzm. I submitted the Feature Request above. I don't have any updates solution-wise, I was just hoping to share my issue with the core dev team for consideration.

I think you actually made it further than I did in your investigation. From your example, it sounds like OpenRouter was able to switch models on your behalf---is that right?---so that got some more perspective / reasoning about the underlying technical issue?

Ultimately, what I'm requesting as a feature is a built-in way to recover from a Task when it's in this error state in a way that lets me salvage the context. My theory on the cause is that the task's transcript becomes corrupted somehow. I say this because after a couple of cases, I lost access to the Task in my Task History altogether (it just disappeared). Though, more often I'm able to manually recover by copy-pasting context from the original Task's transcript into a new Task. That's the best I've got.

I understand. I find it hard to complain though since the tool is free, open source, and generally pretty amazing.

Given that this project forked from https://github.com/cline/cline, and did so partially due to the slower pace of development (ie. the rate of accepting PRs), I might recommend trying cline/cline as it is probably a little more stable? I can’t confirm that, but it stands to reason.
