Custom modes configuration file location

Sorry if this is already possible, but could we add the ability to set the location for the "Custom Modes" configuration file to a custom location? The use case here would be giving the ability to our entire team to use the same common custom modes by keeping the JSON config files in a repository that can be cloned and updated.

This is already a feature 😁 When you edit your modes, look on the top right. One of these will open/create a .roomodes file in your project directory, which can be included in git and shared accross the team:

not sure if this is what you were requesting - I believe this file must exist in the root folder of the working directory.

Oh... that may end up being useful. Let me look into that! The ultimate goal would be to easily share modes across projects and team members. But this could be a good starting point.

Yeah, that's the idea of the .roomodes - that you check it into source control and use it to share with team members. We don't have a great solution for modes that you want to share across projects though.
